theme key features

The main campus in Manhattan, in the center of the world's most culturally vibrant city, is situated in a landmark building that has been the League's home since it was built in 1892.

Founded in 1875 by artists and for artists, the Art Students League of New York has been instrumental in shaping America's legacy in the fine arts. Many renowned artists have honed their skills at the League, which is dedicated to sustaining the great tradition of training artists.

Sculpture
I have recently studied sculpture of the human body in the Art Students League of New York. I learned the way to sculpt the human figure live in clay, and then make the mold to reproduce the piece in any other material, such as Aqua resin or plaster.

Fine Art techniques
I worked for decades with Graphite, Aquarrelle, pastels, Acrylics, Ink, color pencils, sanguine, mixed media, charcoals and recently Airbrushes on different surfaces and canvas. Those are the techniques that I use to create my paintings and sketches.

Arkaos Grand VJ
This is the tool I use to perform Visuals live. I record my own videos or I take short video clips from nature or documentaries applying effects and handmade effects. All is mapped synchronized and performed with an Akai APC 40 and a synthesizer Korg.

Reason and Ableton live
I have composed music that resulted in one album and EP. I´ve been using tools such as Reason and Ableton live, performed with midi controllers like Akai apc40 and a midi Synthesizer Korg.
Gate in the portal of creation
invisible triangle forming the gate. Once again created with the same numbers.
Numbers used in the portal of creation
The same numbers of elements were used in the portal of creation. The whole composition has the same numbers of elements, which creates balance and symmetry. In other words it's like the night would never have existed if the light does not exist.
Numbers used in the portal of destruction
I have used specific numbers in the mural such as 11, 22, 33, 44 all to achieve the balance that I wanted in the composition. It was very interesting to play with numbers behind. Sometimes I automatically got the same numbers in the distance between elements by pure coincidence during the process of my work, which confirmed that those numbers had to be there and it wasn't only my own choice.
Geometry of balance
The gear that contains the seeds of nature crossing the portal of creation.
Numbers used in the geometry of balance
I have used 5.5, 11, 22, 33 and 44 to create this geometry. Those numbers where used almost in the whole composition of the mural.

Parallel perspective
I thought that it would be really helpful to use threads to trace the parallel perspective in a large scale.

Fundamentals of perspective drawn
Tracing the perspective to achieve the deep deepness that I wanted to mark.
Observing the angles and start to imagine
I didn't know what I wanted to paint and how it would be until I started to visualize the message that I wanted to leave on the wall.
Checking the place
I went to visit the place and began to think of how the elements can fit in the environment, observing it from different points of view and where people enter and leave.
Numerology
Numerology • Pythagoras and other philosophers of the time believed that because mathematical concepts were more "practical" (easier to regulate and classify) than physical ones, they had greater actuality. St. Augustine of Hippo (A.D. 354–430) wrote "Numbers are the universal language offered by the deity to humans as confirmation of the truth." Similar to Pythagoras, he too believed that everything had numerical relationships and it was up to the mind to seek and investigate the secrets of these relationships or have them revealed by divine grace. See Numerology and the Church Fathers early Christian beliefs on the subject.• 11, 22, 33,...) are commonly referred to as "master numbers”.

Digital Music Project
Urprung panguea is my solo project. I have composed this album that comes from my soul using tools as Reason, Virtual Moog and Ableton
Techniques
I used Acrylic paint, Airbrushes, brushes and markers. For some elements I cut my own drawn stencils and applied masking-tape to mask the shapes. I used the computer to design some elements in 3D and then cut the stencils. As a final step I covered the entire mural with matte fixative to protect the it from UV lights, dust and time.
4 months of work
It took me four months to finish the mural. The time-lapse video shows the process and techniques that I used. As a nocturnal person I've been working mostly during the nights, in the autumn and winter season, which inspires and propels me.

Photoshop
Strong skills in Photoshop when it comes to, pass rendering 3d models, graphic design, layouts, illustration, digital painting using a Wacom Cintiq, panoramic photo edition, photo retouch, mockups. Good knowledge in exporting and using Adobe After Effects for basic and complex animations and presentations.

Illustrator
Strong skills for the creation of vector graphics, icons, layouts, documents, identity and my personal art work. Around two decades ago I began to create vector graphics, png, and jpg in Corel Draw and Corel Photo Paint in platform Windows 3.1. Apart from moving back and forward with Os Mac and Pc I found illustrator a more versatile software that works with the rest of the CC software that I use to execute my personal and commissioned work.

ZBrush
I have studied a Master in organic modeling with Zbrush in an authorized center by Pixologic in Madrid, Spain. I have a strong knowledge to create everything that is in my imagination within the Pixologic ZBrush Software, from a complex design character to a whole environment or vehicles, local rendering, Ps, and Keyshot.

Light Room
When it comes to photo editing, color balance and calibration Light room is my tool to use. I have knowledge and a good eye in all the parameters that light room offers to achieve the desired result. Exporting is a fact, in that way I take care of what and where the picture will be used, for example: on a screen or for print, matte or glossy finished.
